How I Got Here | Mua HAHAHA author of Tits and Broccoli

If you were to tell us to recount the stories we have since turning 21, there would be many. So many in fact that we would need an entire novel. This is exactly what author, under pseudonym, Mua HAHAHA, did with the launch of her new novel ‘Tits and Brocolli’. The novel is ingenious and offers readers a hilarious and jaw-dropping tale of life after 21 – a story that so many of us can relate to. Mua HAHAHA, the author themselves, speaks a whopping seven language after living in various countries. A multi-talented entrepreneur with a penchant for mischief – we couldn’t wait to find out how they go there.

Hi Mua HAHAHA! Sum up your book for us in 2 sentences:

The main character struggles with life in the real world post school and university and finds out rather comically that their education, parents and outlook on life for the last 21 years did little if nothing to prepare them for the real world.

What was the inspiration behind it?

My first job interview, it was a total disaster.

What has been the best piece of advice you’ve been given?

I am torn between “we all end up in a box so do what makes you happy” and “seek happiness”.

What piece of advice would you give to others wanting to follow in your footsteps?

Believe in yourself, the rest is just background noise.

You’re a new addition to a crayon box, what colour would you be and why?

Purple because it is odd.

What was the last gift you gave someone?

An amethyst geode…I am going through a purple phase.

What inspires you?

It would be a lot easier to say what doesn’t inspire me.  I guess if I had to pick one thing that truly inspires me it would have to be success.  Seeing people succeed against all odds gives me the energy, positivity and drive to do better.

What is the different between right and wrong?

It’s a matter of perspective. What is right to you might be wrong to me and what is right to me might be wrong to you.

When have you been most satisfied with your life?

When I  realised that I had found my lobster.

If there was one thing you could say to you 5-year-old self, what would it be?

Don’t grow up, it’s a trap.

Tell us in 3 words, how you got to where you are today?

Blood, sweat and tears.
